SPAM MUSICIANS

Adam Kupper, lead singer and keyboardist, comes from a diverse musical upbringing of classical, jazz and rock influences.  Having been classically trained on a number of woodwind instruments, Adam shifted his musical efforts to rock vocals and piano after high school; Wagner and Stravinsky just weren't cuttin' it any more.  Besides keyboards, he dabbles on guitar, bass, and air drums.  In his spare time he concentrates on computer spam, colleting bugs, and generally being a menace to society.

Phil Radel, percussionist and lyricist, holds the belief that the playing of drums and percussion represents a way in which to find solace from the problems of life.  His lyrics are based on true life events which are presented as puzzles within the framework of songs, the answers to which are left to the listener.  He spends most of his free time drumming to keep away the demons; occasionally he can be found lost on a unicycle in some crazy carnival sideshow dream.

Pat Jansen, bassist, always resides in the pocket while keeping an open ear for new musical ideas and sounds.  In his quest for higher enlightenment, Pat has strived to incorporate visual effects into the Planet Spam stage show to further heighten the senses.  Besides musical endeavors, he is also into exploring the UFO phenomenon through research and ground-based surveillance of the heavens.  Like the rest of the band members, he is a believer.

Matt Reynolds, guitarist, can best be described as the catalyst for the Planet Spam sound.  Always the experimentalist, he believes in the idea of taking chances in music to create something that's never been heard - good, bad, or indifferent.  His guitar work evokes different emotions, depending on the mood of the song (sometimes aggression, sometimes dripping green funk, sometimes a state of psychosis.)  He has a penchant for videos, classic TV, and gorilla pants.

Perry Condoluci, drummer, provides a rare combination of power and finesse that serves as the rock in which the band rests upon.  Much in the way of developing Spam's creative grooves can be attributed to his eclectic musical background (jazz, progressive rock, metal, Latin and funk.)  He is fascinated with electricity, loves to fix things, and never takes more than he needs to the gigs.

Additional Drummers: Steve Kelly, Mike Molinari
